Green Power

Green power communities are places that use green power. These power sources include: solar, wind and hydroelectric power. Some green communities use a combination of these types of powers.

Green power is another way of saying environmentally friendly energy sources. These sources are renewable and safe for our world. Some places have green power plants where this type of power and electricity originates.

According to the EPA there are requirements for becoming a green community. The first requirement is in the amount of green energy that is used in a certain area. This energy can originate in the area or be purchased from other areas.
