Solar energy

As a renewable energy source, solar energy is an environmentally friendly way to produce electricity. Through the use of solar panels the energy from the sun is collected and stored. It is usually stored in batteries that are part of a solar energy system.

Solar energy can also be collected via a solar power plant. Solar power plants are large and take up a great amount of space. That is one of the reasons why solar power plants are not commonly used; there is just not enough space in all areas of the world.

Solar energy is also useful in outdoor lighting and landscape lighting schemes. The best outdoor lights are solar powered. These lights require no power and no timers.
